Today Senator Mike Haridopolos was named Chairman of the Senate Finance and Tax Committee. This committee is charged with setting tax law in our state. Property taxes will be a focal issue over the next two years as the legislature and our new Governor Charlie Crist pursue tax reform.
Senator Haridopolos is in favor of across the board property tax cuts for homeowners, renters and businesses. It is obvious to him that the state, let alone the local government, does NOT have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem.
Senator Haridopolos welcomes your suggestions on this issue.

Appointing Sen Haridopolos to head this committee reveals that President Pruitt knows this Republican Senator's strength.
